She ran away from the caravan before it reached Laverren and hid out in the delta, where she met Moby. The two of them apprenticed under Darius and eventually Moby was captured. Lae gathered followers to help free him and together they started a guild of thieves. She fully supports Moby's endeavors and always has his back, even when he's doing something potentially stupid.

He was severely injured in an accident and Ellis (the only remaining child in the family home) had to take care of him and learn the business. She moved her father to the delta to keep him safe from harm and steals to make ends meet when business is slow. She was recruited by Lae to assist with minor jobs. She is Septem's mechanic and closest friend.

He was recruited along with Ellis.

He met Lae in the delta and agreed to help her free Moby for a hefty price. He and Moby became friends almost immediately and have worked together ever since. He's not an official part of Moby's clan.
